RIDGEVIEW — The NRTA Board of Directors unanimously adopted the Regional Safety Action Plan on July 9. The plan identifies a High Injury Network of 214 roadway miles where 58 percent of fatal and serious injury crashes occurred between 2020 and 2024.
The plan lists 42 priority projects and recommends policy changes including lower speed limits on high-injury urban arterials and systemic rumble strip installation on rural two-lane roads.
